AGRIMETAL BLOWERS

Bernhard was not the only firm to launch tractor-mounted leaf and debris blowers at Saltex. JSM Distribution released the "low-decibel" series from AgriMetal.

This range of blowers has a dynamically balanced aluminium impeller, intended to provide superior air flow while requiring less energy to drive it. It's light weight should also help reduce drive-belt loadings and so reduce maintenance and parts replacement.

What we particularly like is the good-sized roller that carries the blowers over the ground. We reckon it should reduce the risk of marking or damage to turf, perhaps even in adverse conditions. Best of all, the standard specification includes a 180 degs and an angled air deflector. And both can be operated hydraulically from the tractor driver's seat.

There are four models in the range, requiring tractors from 16hp to 46hp. Maximum airflow value is reported to be 355cu m/min. Prices range from £2,995 to £4,595 ex VAT.
