Harrod UK

Harrod Horticultural has an enviable reputation as the leading expert for garden structure design and manufacture that has gone from strength to strength in this family business. It originally started out in 1954 by selling allotment nets in Exchange & Mart and now employs more than 160 people, has a turnover of £15m and hosts a large collection of industry-wide awards.

With more than 60 years of experience, it offers an award-winning and diverse collection of standard garden structures, all designed and manufactured in the UK, that can be delivered from stock, alongside the ability to have any manufactured in bespoke colours or dimensions.

It can design and manufacture unique garden structures and 2016 has been a fantastic year for the company, with design, fabrication and supply of bespoke garden structures to a large number of show gardens for the RHS Chelsea & Hampton Court Palace Flower Shows alongside working on large residential and commercial projects, both traditional and contemporary.

The judges commented: "A clear submission from this second-generation, family-run business demonstrating how the company provides excellent customer service through a range of high-quality and often bespoke products and services. Harrod continues to support fellow BALI members through cross referring and continues to support regional and national BALI events. Testimonials highlight the value clients place on the service provided and the lengths the company goes to in order to exceed expectation is obvious. Judges were unanimous in their selection of Harrod for Principal Award in this highly contested category."
