Neudorff's Sluggo Slug & Snail Killer made its television debut in April, after adverts for the brand's weedkiller were aired in various regions on ITV1 from 30 March. The company ran a series of adverts for its Superfast & Long Lasting Weedkiller on ITV2 and ITV4 in 2014, which it said helped boost awareness among consumers and create demand.

Another weedkiller brand being advertised is Resolva Liquid Shots. Westland has spent £1.5m on television advertising. The advert will be shown throughout April and May, over the key bank holiday weekends, on all mainstream and satellite channels including ITV and Sky 1, supported by an online advertising campaign.

Garden tool manufacturer Fiskars' spring campaign features television adverts for its Weed Puller, PowerGear range and telescopic Tree Pruner. The advert first aired over Easter and will also be shown on key spring bank holiday weekends.

The campaign also includes radio, print and online activity. Fiskars is supporting the TV promotion with a radio advertising campaign on Classic FM for the first time in 2015.

Fiskars UK trade marketing director Kerry Murfin said: "With radio and new digital components sitting alongside TV and print advertising, we're extending our reach to target a new and younger generation of gardeners who are the shoppers of the future."
