ADAS guide on environment published for ornamentals growers

A guide on environmental best practice has been produced for ornamental growers.

The booklet addresses a range of environmental issues that producers of ornamental crops are facing today, including environmental legislation, peat and how to reduce pesticide use.

It outlines best practice and cites sources of further information to help growers grow successfully, while further minimising their impact on the environment.

The Defra-funded report was written by ornamentals specialists from the environmental consultancy ADAS.

Further copies can be obtained from ADAS. Contact 01954 268214 or email horticulture@adas.co.uk.
