Adam Frost joins HTA board

Multi gold medal-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show designer, RHS ambassador and lynchpin of the Homebase Academy Adam Frost is joining the HTA Board.

Frost is a professional horticulturist who has experience in most industry sectors. He started his career as an apprentice at North Devon parks department, before joining Geoff Hamilton at Barnsdale Gardens, moving into landscape construction and finally becoming a garden designer. He runs Adam Frost Garden Design in Stamford, Lincolnshire.

He won gold medals for sponsor Homebase at Chelsea in 2013 and 2014 and is hoping for a third at this year's show.

He also helped establish the Homebase Academy where apprentices learn skills from across horticulture. He gets involved in the teaching programme and works with the apprentices on his Chelsea garden builds.

HTA chief executive Carol Paris said: "We are delighted to welcome Adam to the HTA Board.He brings with him not only a huge amount of experience from the garden design and landscaping sector but such passion for encouraging more young people into the industry."

In addition to Frost, the HTA board comprises Stan Green (President), Adam Wigglesworth (Vice President), David Norman (Hon Treasurer), Carol Paris (HTA CEO), Caroline Owen (Past President), Sandy Shepherd, Ian Ashton, Bob Hewitt, Mark Pearson and Richard Barnard.
