Landscaping and public spaces proposed for London Borough of Redbridge
Tuesday, 02 February 2010
A plan for improvements to the London Borough of Redbridge, including better public spaces, is out for consultation.
The draft Barkingside Town Centre Improvement Plan was presented during a meeting held last night (1 February).
The area in north east London will undergo changes that are expected to help revitalise the town centre.
Proposed work includes creating a new town square, improving access to Fairlop Waters Country Park and creating "community focal points" on side streets around the town centre to provide green spaces and seating areas.
A final plan will be developed by March 2010.
