Koppert launches Mini-Airbug blower
Wednesday, 01 July 2009
Koppert Biological Systems has launched a new blower that can be used to release natural enemies in vegetable crops and ornamentals.
The Mini-Airbug can be used to achieve a concentrated distribution of predatory mites over the entire crop up to a distance of 1.5m to 2m, or for the control of local hot-spots.
Koppert says the advantages of the Mini-Airbug are that natural enemies are distributed over the crop evenly and that different combinations of natural enemies can be released, reducing the labour required by 80%.
